Starting with Aoyama’s Les Cristallines in Tokyo, owner and chef Akinori Tanaka has opened restaurants
that specialize in French cuisine around Japan’s capital, including Shinjuku and Shibuya. Mr. Tanaka
began creating art with the aim of decorating his restaurants with his own paintings, which visualize
his knowledge and passion for cooking. This new exhibition incorporates new oil paintings, and also
features the series of popular wines, salads, main courses, and even desert. These 40 new lively paintings
display Tanaka’s characteristic use of vibrant colors, and we hope you enjoy them all. Come experience
Mr. Tanaka’s colorful cuisine as this vivid tale of food continues to grow.
